Visit of G.A.A. V.I.P.s to coincide with the hosting of Féile Peil in Wexford

George O’Connor – Wexford coach/former hurler and member of Wexford’s panel of 1996/footballer; Leona Tector, Wexford footballer – All-Star 2005 and Finbar O’Driscoll – President Leinster L.G.F.A. all visited St. Joseph’s on Wednesday, May 13th.
The visitors spoke to all the children about partaking in games and the importance of working on their skills.
Leona brought with her the trophy for the Wexford Senior Ladies Football Championship. Leona’s club – Shelmaliers – are the current champions. A brilliant visit was enjoyed by all.

During the visit George O’Connor presented the boys of 5th and 6th classes with the Rackard League Hurling Roinn C Cup, Gorey Area Champions 2015. Ten members of the Panel are from St. Joseph’s. Congratulations to the following boys : Cian O’Connor, Cillian Larkin, David Hearne, Owen McNulty, David Meleady, Adam Doyle, Jack Twomey, Michael Butler, Harvey Warren and Seán Kirwan.
