Discover Primary Science and Maths Award of Excellence
This year we were awarded our second Discover Primary Science and Maths Plaque of STEM Excellence. To achieve this award the pupils excelled with their skills and knowledge in the areas of science, ICT, engineering and maths. Throughout the year pupils carried out various activities such as:
- Hands on investigations in the areas of:
-Living things
-Energy and forces
-Materials
-Environmental awareness and care
- Created PowerPoint presentations, participated in online programmes Manga high, Hour of Coding and Scratch.
- Became engineers building their own bridges, rocket launchers and windmills.
- Visited The Raven nature reserve and had a visit from Marine Dimensions.
- Showcased their Roller-coasters and demonstrated how to make bird feeders during our open evening.
