Growing Sunflowers

Over the past number of weeks, first and second class have undertaken a project to grow their own sunflowers. To begin, they investigated  the factors that their seeds would need to grow (light, water and a suitable temperature) and decided that it was a suitable time of the year to plant our sunflowers. Everyone planted their own seed and took turns in class to ensure that the seeds had enough water. They have now started to grow quite big, so the boys and girls have taken them home to replant in their gardens.
