Sports Day June 18th, 2014
Our Sports Day
It was June the 18th, a very hot Wednesday. At 9:30 we went down to the field to be told where and what we would be doing today. First we went to start the running races. Ms Moran said “On your marks, get set, go”. We ran as fast as we could. Bethany was running so fast it was like a shark was after her. We walked up to the class and took a big drink of ice cold water. I said “Ah this is bass!”. So we ran back down to the field.
We had an obstacle course race. After a while we changed around to the scoop ball. All the girls were in a circle playing scoop ball. Even our teacher Mrs. Kennelly joined in. After a while Mr Murphy joined in. It was so much fun. Our teacher, Mrs. Kennelly, was like the photographer. Every chance she got she was taking photos.
When Ms Moran blew her whistle we all switched to the novelty races. We had egg and spoon races, three legged races and sack races. We went back up to the class room to take another drink. After a while we saw an ice cream van in the yard. It was a big and brilliant surprise. The whole school got ice cream. We got a 99! It was delicious! All thanks to the Parent’s Council! IT WAS THE BEST DAY EVER!
P.S: Thank you very much to the Parents Council for organising the ice cream.
